We welcome you to Scott Veterinary Clinic.  Thank you for entrusting us with your pet’s health care. At Scott Veterinary Clinic we offer a range of services which include small animal medicine and surgery, boarding, prescription diets, flea products, and other pet care products.

 

Our Veterinarians are:

Dr. Shannon Lee: Dr. Lee purchased Scott Veterinary Clinic in August 2014. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2004 with a special interest in birds and other exotic pets.

Dr. Kristen Gleiser: Dr. Gleiser graduated from OVC in 2001.  She Is currently here on Wednesdays seeing patients in appointments or in surgery.

 

Full-time Staff:

Kate Young: Kate is our practice manager.  She oversees staff, doctors, patients, inventory, and as an RVT she also helps out on the floor monitoring surgery, placing iv catheters and taking x-rays. You will also see her helping out on the front desk when needed.

Sue Mazi is our head veterinary technician and has been with Scott Veterinary Clinic since 1994.

Emily Csutorka graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Ridgetown College in 2020. She received her RVT registration in May 2021. Emily joined our team in April 2020.

Holly Apps graduated from the Veterinary Office Administration program at Ridgetown College and successfully wrote the Approved Veterinary Assistant exam. Holly is a receptionist that joined our team in 2017 and is now training to become an RVT.

Grace Gowland:  Grace is our newest receptionist. She started out in 2021 as an Animal Care Attendant and changed the course of her career when a position opened up in reception.

Melissa Williams: Melissa is a PHD student who is working with us while she completes her studies. She works primarily as an exam room assistant, but often helps both the reception team and the technicians.

 

Hospital Policies:

1)  Our office consultations with the veterinarian are by appointment.  This system is in place to try to eliminate long waiting times as well as give each patient adequate time with the veterinarian.

2)  Animals are admitted and released only during office hours.

3)  Current vaccinations are required where possible, prior to hospital admission.  This ensures your pet is protected from any infectious diseases that may be brought into the hospital by sick patients.

4)  Fees for services rendered are due and payable at the time your pet is discharged from the hospital.  MasterCard and Visa are accepted for those who wish to charge.  You can also use Interac/Debit. During prolonged hospital stays for treatment or boarding, partial payment may be requested.

5)  If you have an emergency or need veterinary assistance after hours please call the Brant-Norfolk Veterinary Clinic at 519-720-0753. The clinic is located at 143 Lynden Road, Brantford (next to Pioneer Pools).   MON -THURS 6PM — 8AM and FRI 6PM – MON 8AM. For exotic pet emergencies, please contact Campus Estates Animal Hospital at 519-837-1212 or 519-837-1214. They are located at 1460 Gordon Street South in Guelph.  

6)  Scott Veterinary Clinic is not staffed 24 hours a day.  If a patient requires overnight monitoring it can be arranged to transfer your pet to the Brant-Norfolk Veterinary Clinic which has full time staffing all night and on weekends.

7)  Please have your pet under control at all times to prevent any accidents or injuries while in the waiting area.  Cats are best transported in carriers and dogs should be on a leash at all times.
